Paid app, one-time purchase, available only on the App Store.

This page of the Shadowrocket Official Guide explains how to verify the app and make a purchase. Check the storefront region and app details before installing. Refer to the App Store listing for pricing, system requirements, and purchase availability.

Storefront and account region

This app isn't available on the mainland China storefront. The apps shown in the App Store depend on the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases, not your device's current location or the language of the web page. Even if you open the US product page above, the App Store may still show the storefront tied to your account. Check your account region before repeatedly searching for the app.

To check your region, open Settings on your device, tap your Apple ID at the top, go to Media & Purchases, select View Account, then find Country/Region. Wording and layout may vary slightly by system version; follow what appears on your device. You only need to check the current region. You don't need to change your account details just to see whether the app is available.

To find the region-change option, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Whether you can change it depends on Apple's requirements for account balance, active subscriptions, payment methods, and other account conditions. Read the requirements shown on that page before deciding whether to continue. Seeing the option doesn't guarantee that the change can be completed.

Check three details

How to verify the official Shadowrocket app

Search results may show similar names and icons. Don't rely on the nickname or ranking alone. Open the product page and check the developer, official icon, and app ID.

Check the developer name exactly

On the App Store product page, find the developer information. It should read Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Search results may truncate the name, so open the full listing to check it. A matching or similar app name is not a substitute for checking the developer. Seeing Shadowrocket in an app description doesn't prove it's the official app.

Check the official artwork

The official icon is a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background, matching the icon shown here. Use it as one clue, not the only proof: if a search result shows a similar image, also check the developer and app ID. Don't make a purchase decision based only on colors, text, or decorative details in promotional images.

Confirm the app ID in the product link

The official product page link includes id932747118, and the app ID is 932747118. This identifier is a more reliable way to confirm the app than its search ranking. The main button on this page links directly to the product page. If you arrive from another source, check the same identifying details rather than relying only on the page title.

The two images on the right are official screenshots submitted by the developer to the App Store. They show Home and Add Server. Screenshots can help you recognize the interface, but the layout may vary with app updates, system language, or display size. Verify the app using all three App Store details. Server fields shown in the screenshots are part of the interface, not connection details provided by this site.

Get started on iPhone

On your iPhone, open the verified App Store product page, review the price and compatibility details, then follow the on-screen steps to confirm your purchase. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. If your device doesn't meet the current requirements, check for an available system update and confirm device compatibility first. Seeing the product page doesn't mean your device meets the installation requirements.

After your purchase, wait for the App Store to install the app. If progress stalls, check your network and available storage, then look for any account alerts in the App Store. Payment confirmation and installation are separate steps. Troubleshoot the step that's currently stuck instead of starting another purchase while you wait.

VPN configuration permission on first connection

When you first try to connect, the system may ask permission to add a VPN configuration and require confirmation with your device passcode or another authentication method supported by your device. This permission lets the system manage network connection settings; it isn't another app purchase. Continue only after confirming the request comes from Shadowrocket and you're ready to use your own server details.

Granting permission doesn't mean the server is ready to use. Shadowrocket also needs valid server or subscription details, which you can get from your service provider. If you haven't imported any details yet, stay disconnected, follow the instructions to import them, then select Global Routing and check the connection result.

Install on iPad and check device compatibility

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. After buying once with the same Apple ID, you can usually get the app on both devices using the valid purchase record, without paying the client fee twice. Check the App Store listing for purchase availability and system requirements. On your iPad, first confirm the account under Media & Purchases, then check availability in your purchase history or on the product page.

The wider iPad screen may change the amount of whitespace, list width, or column layout compared with iPhone screenshots. When looking for a control, focus on English interface labels such as Home, Config, Settings, and Add Server rather than expecting buttons in exactly the same positions. The official screenshots in this guide help identify feature areas; they don't prescribe the layout on every device.

You can reuse the app purchase record, but connection details must be prepared separately. After installing on iPad, check that your subscription, server fields, and configuration files have been imported. Get subscription links from your service provider. Your devices may also be on different networks, so a successful connection on iPhone doesn't guarantee the same result on iPad.

Move to a new device and restore purchases

Restoring a purchase depends on the original account and a valid purchase record. Check the app purchase, data stored on the device, and connection details from your service provider separately.

Find your purchase in the App Store

On your new device, open the App Store, tap your account avatar, and go to your purchases. Find Shadowrocket and download it again. Depending on your system, the section may be called App or My Apps. Make sure you're using the Apple ID that made the original purchase, not just an account used for other device features. With the same valid purchase record, you usually won't need to pay again.

If the product page still shows a price, pause and check your account and purchase history before buying. You can also check hidden purchases, your current storefront region, and account status. A price button alone doesn't prove the original purchase is no longer valid. Confirming payment again before you know what's wrong can make it harder to investigate.

To check whether Family Sharing applies, review the App Store information for this app and your current family settings. Refer to the App Store listing. Your own purchase history and a family member's purchase history are separate; first confirm how the app was originally obtained.

Reimport your connection details

After reinstalling the app, check the server list on Home and the configuration files in Config. Reinstalling the app doesn't guarantee that all local settings will be restored automatically. Before erasing your old device, use the backup options actually available in the app and make sure you can read the backup.

You can reimport an existing subscription using a link from your service provider. For a manually added server, check the original details for Type, Host, Port, and the relevant authentication fields. Don't guess field values from screenshots or use a purchase receipt as a server password. After importing, test the connection and check the selected configuration and Global Routing.

Subscription links and configuration files may contain access credentials. Don't share full links when troubleshooting. If your service provider has updated a link or authentication details, use the latest valid information. Restoring your App Store purchase doesn't replace this step.

One-time app purchase

Pricing, one-time purchase, and connection services

The US storefront reference price is about $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Prices may appear in local currencies on other storefronts; check the App Store listing and purchase confirmation for the actual amount.

App purchase ≠ connection service plan

The app fee is for purchasing Shadowrocket; there is no monthly app usage fee. Connection services are separate. Even after purchasing the app, you still need your own subscription or server details to configure a connection. App purchase status and connection service availability are two separate things.

This site is the official website and guide. It does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. The guide explains how to verify the app, import your existing details, use rules, and troubleshoot issues. Get subscription links from your service provider, and refer to their information for validity, usage limits, and server authentication details.

How to check pricing and future updates

The US reference price shown in a browser may differ from the currency and amount shown for your account. Before purchasing, check the price displayed in the App Store, confirm your account's payment status, and keep your purchase record. Don't use a connection service's renewal schedule to infer how the app is billed. Manage their costs and records separately.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. You can enable automatic updates in your device settings or check for updates manually in the store. For feature changes, read the product page's update notes. Check the App Store listing for system compatibility. Updates usually don't require another purchase, but back up important configuration before making changes.

Download and purchase FAQ

First determine whether the app is unavailable in the store, the installation hasn't completed, or the connection is failing. Then follow the relevant troubleshooting steps. A connection failure doesn't mean the app purchase failed.

Can't find Shadowrocket on the App Store? What to check first

First check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. This app isn't available on the mainland China storefront, and “us” in a web link does not change your account's storefront. Then check age-rating restrictions and account status, and use app ID 932747118 to confirm the product page.

The product page opens, but the download won't complete. What should I do?

Note the exact App Store message, then check your network, available device storage, system compatibility, and any payment or pending issues with your Apple Account. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. If the message concerns billing, resolve it in your account before trying again.

Do I need to buy Shadowrocket again when I get a new device?

On the App Store, sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase and download it again from your account's purchases. You usually won't need to pay again. If a price appears, check the account used for Media & Purchases and your purchase history before deciding what to do. Don't buy it again without checking.

Can I install it on iPad after purchasing?

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. A valid purchase under the same Apple ID can usually be used on both devices without buying the app twice. Check the App Store listing for device compatibility, system requirements, and purchase availability.

How do I check availability for Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision?

Check the Compatibility section on the same Shadowrocket App Store product page, which lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for universal purchase availability and system requirements, and confirm availability in the App Store on your target device.

The app opens in English. How do I follow the guide?

This official guide keeps English interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Global Routing, with Chinese explanations of what each step does. An English interface alone doesn't verify an app's authenticity. Check the developer, official icon, and app ID on the App Store.

Installed the app and verified your purchase? Next, prepare your existing connection details, then follow the guide to import them and test the connection.
